Kansas City, MO - Volunteers are fanning out across the Metro giving time and energy for a day of service on the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday.

At the Harvesters food bank, more than 600 people will pass through today lending a hand. The mix of those helping are college students, people off from work, youth volunteers among others. They'll spend about 90 minutes each in shifts sorting and packing donated food, assemble boxes and more.
