UPDATE: Man who says he acted on "voices" charged with murder of KC Northland tattoo artist

Kansas City, MO - A Mexican-national in the country illegally and who told police "voices tell him who to shoot" but that he decides, has now been charged with murder for the death of Russell Fisk on Friday, May 11th in the Kansas City Northland.

Arnoldo Pompa-Rascon, 41, has also been charged with four felonies in connection with the shooting and wounding of two other men that night.

According to court documents, Pompa-Rascon admitted that he stole a gun from a South Kansas City home earlier that day and used it to shoot three men, including a victim in a car.

Russell James Fisk, a tattoo artist (pictured below), was found dead inside his crashed car around 8 p.m. Friday, near Barry Road and North Marsten. 


Pompa-Rason was arrested around 1:15 am Tuesday, May 15th, after being held at gunpoint by a homeowner, who caught Rascon breaking into his truck.

The suspect's car was found later Tuesday, with the gun inside, abandoned in a nearby creek.
