KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Hidden below the surface of Westport, The Fall KC is a speakeasy-style bar in the basement under Westport Ale house.

Director of Operations for Trident Restaurant Group Michael Hollrah told KMBZ the theme, inspired by area pop-ups, is Alice in Wonderland.

"It's just unlike anything that you've ever experienced in Kansas City. We've gone in a wild direction," Hollrah said.

Upon entry, guests receive a 'potion' shot before descending the "rabbit hole." Hollrah says it's like entering a Vegas casino.

"We have a couple of DJs who play down there," Hollrah explained. "And they kind of play to the crowd."

Hollrah said they have a unique atmosphere with a giant video wall, mad hatter chair and the queen's court.

They've only been open for two weeks, but the patrons have been pouring in. The Fall has several private bottle service rooms available by reservation.
