Overland Park, KS - Gunshots were fired at Oak Park Mall around 8:15 Friday night, sending patrons scrambling for cover and damaging window panes of doors leading to the food court

Police say there are signs that someone may have been hurt after they found blood, but so far, no signs of that injured person.

No other injuries have been reported.

The shooting stemmed form an argument between people just outside the mall, according to police.

"The shooter was outside. The two males were trying to enter back inside the mall, the food court area. The shooter continued to shoot at the two as they were going inside the mall," Officer John Lacy said. "It looked like they knew each other because they were outside talking prior to the shooting."

They continue to search for the suspect, who may be in a red truck.

"It could have been much worse," Lacy said.
