Kansas City, KS - Two Schlitterbahn maintenance workers were acquitted of lying during the investigation into the death of 10-year-old Caleb Schwab in August 2016.

Prosecutors claimed David Hughes and John Zalsman failed to replace a brake mat that fell off a raft two weeks before it went airborne, killing Schwab.

The prosecution says the men lied and said the mat had only been used for testing.

A Wyandotte COunty jury returned a verdict

The park's co-owner and the ride's designer have also been indicted.
