Kansas City, MO - No more chicken and waffles. No more chili cheeseburgers. No more free cinnamon rolls. Chubby's on Broadway is shutting down.

Whether it was a burger after a concert at the Uptown or a breakfast burrito on the way to work, or just a place to feed a weekend's late-night hunger, Chubby's has been a popular spot for more than 30 years in Midtown Kansas City.

The restaurant will be open overnight for Halloween, and will close at 6am Thursday, November 1st, according to a statement from Tony Olson, owner of Snax Management, which bought Chubby's five years ago.

“We poured our hearts and soul into this KC institution for many years and we are certainly as saddened as anyone that it is closing. We have chosen to focus more on our core restaurant concepts and catering businesses at Snax Management. Chubby’s and the Broadway corridor will always hold a special place in our hearts,” Olson said via email statement.
