Belton, MO - A motorcycle shop in Belton surprised the son of a slain KCK police officer with a cleaned and painted motorcycle.

The bike had belonged to Captain Robert 'Dave' Melton and his son David, 17, inherited the cycle after Melton was killed in the line of duty.

Recently, the bike was secreted away to Hellraiser's Fabrication & Cycles in Belton for some custom work.

The bike was cleaned, tuned, and Melton's police badge was airbrushed on both sides of the gas tank.

It was presented to David as a surprise at the shop as family and KCK police officers gathered to watch.

David just got his motorcycle license, and he's ready to ride.
