A late surge of voting placed Kansas City's Mike Moustakas on the 2017 All-Star reserve roster, the third baseman's second trip to the midsummer classic.

Moustakas receives the American League's Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote for the second time, after getting it in 2015.

Moustakas, who leads the Royals with 25 home runs, will appear in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday night on ESPN. The All-Star Game is Tuesday night on FOX.

Catcher Salvador Perez and pitcher Jason Vargas are the other Royals to make the All-Star roster.
