Kansas City, MO - Court documents revealed Friday that a Braymer, Missouri man has been charged in connection to the disappearance of two missing men, brothers, from Wisconsin.

Caldwell County prosecutors have charged Garland Nelson, 25, with tampering with a motor vehicle. The charge stems from the search for 35-year-old Nick Diemel and 24-year-old Justin Diemel, who have been missing since Sunday.

Nelson is in custody, according to Caldwell County officials.

“It has changed from a missing person’s case into a death investigation,” Caldwell County Sheriff Jerry Galloway said.

Nick and Justin Diemel were in Caldwell County for business.

They did not make a scheduled flight back to Wisconsin on Sunday.

Their rental truck was found in a commuter lot at Interstate 35 and PP Highway in Clinton County.

Investigators said they have processed the pickup for evidence.

Authorities conducted searches in both Caldwell and Clinton counties Thursday.

Investigators have also been searching an area behind a home on Catawba Road near Braymer. Charging documents listed Nelson’s address on Catawba Road.
