Kansas City excluded from list of potential sites for second Amazon HQ

Amazon, the giant online retailer, announced through Twitter Thursday morning it had narrowed its list for potential cities to 20 for its second headquarters.

The Tweet said reducing the list from 238 to 20 was "very tough," and that all the proposals it received "showed tremendous enthusiasm and creativity."

The cities closes to Kansas City that remain in contention for the amazonhq2, with the potential of billions in investment and thousands of jobs, are Indianapolis, Denver and Dallas.
