Kansas City, MO -  Hy-Vee is releasing more information, including locations, regarding a data breach discovered this summer.

HyVee has built an online look up tool - where customers can check specific locations and dates.

The grocery chain said it noticed unauthorized activity on some of its payment processing systems July 29.

An investigation revealed malware on point-of-sale devices at certain Hy-Vee fuel pumps, drive-thru coffee shops and restaurants, which include Hy-Vee Market Grilles, Market Grille Expresses and the Wahlburgers locations that Hy-Vee owns and operates.

The general time frame of when card data may have been accessed is from Dec. 14, 2018 to July 29, 2019 for fuel pumps - for restaurants and coffee shops, it is from Jan. 15 to July 29.

Hy-Vee said there are six locations where card data may have been accessed as early as Nov. 9, 2018, and one location where access may have continued through Aug. 2 of this year.

Card transactions at front-end checkout lanes and inside convenience stores, pharmacies, customer service counters, and wine and spirit locations were not involved in the data breach.

Customers are asked to review their card statements for unauthorized activity.
