Tonight is the first public meeting on design plans for the new single terminal KCI.

Councilwoman Jolie Justus is encouraging everyone to come out.

"So if there are very specific things or even general ideas that the public has they should absolutely reach out and participate in one of the sessions." Justus says, "They are not limited to people in Kansas City Missouri.  Anyone can come from the entire metro area."

Inital designs for the single terminal show it anchored by a massive two-story fountain in a light and airy space decorated with nods to Kansas City's arts scene and jazz history.

Tonight's meeting will be held in the Northland at the Regional Police Academy on Pleasant Valley Road, starting at 6.

If you can't make it tonight, there will be six more sessions, in each of the council districts, as well as one at the KU Edwards campus in Overland Park for Johnson County travelers to weigh in.
