Kansas City, MO - The morning commute was a slick one thanks to a thin layer of ice from a freezing drizzle that began falling on the Metro overnight.

Patchy ice conditions made stopping and starting very difficult.

Drizzle continued in the early morning hours. Temperatures were expected to reach the upper 20s later in the day.

A large number of school districts cancelled classes for Wednesday.
