Some road closures will take place during a visit from President Donald Trump Friday in Kansas City.

People are advised not to park on the street around the Kansas City Westin at Crown Center, where the president's speech will take place. More than two dozen cars were towed during a Trump visit to Kansas City last summer.

The president will speak about the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) initiative at a national law enforcement conference hosted by the Department of Justice.

The president is expected to be in Kansas City from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The listed times are approximate.

Acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker spoke at the conference Thursday.

"In Kansas City, Des Moines, Miami, Tampa, Dallas, Los Angeles, PSN is making us a better investigative organization," Whitaker said. "PSN directs our U.S. Attorneys to work with their communities to develop a specialized, customized crime reduction plan."
