Convict steals dump truck to escape from Lansing prison

Lansing, KS - The search is on for an inmate who escaped from the Lansing Correctional Facility in a dump truck. 

Kansas Department of Corrections officials identified the escapee as 36-year-old Cal Henry Green III.

Somehow he got behind the wheel of a green army dump truck and drove away without permission. The truck was later found abandoned at 92nd and Parallel Parkway.

Green was a minimum-security inmate, imprisoned on a charge of aggravated battery out of Wyandotte County. 

Green is described as black, 5-foot-4-inches, about 196 pounds with brown hair.

Green also has convictions in Wyandotte County for theft, burglary, fleeing to avoid arrest and forgery.
