The Clay County Sheriff's office is warning about several repeat scam phone calls.

The Sheriff's office posted this message on Facebook:

The post says they will never call you to let you know if you have a warrant out for your arrest. " If you actually had a warrant, we'd just come arrest you," the post reads.

They also will not call to tell you a relative is in jail or that you missed jury duty.

The Sheriff's office says if you get one of these scam phone calls, just hang up the phone.

There are dozens of scams going around at any given time, so be wary of anyone over the phone demanding immediate payment, especially by prepaid debit card or gift card.
