A man running for a seat in the Kansas Legislature has been arrested for election perjury.

Adam Thomas was booked into the Johnson County jail Thursday morning. His bond was set at $2500.

The 35-year-old Thomas is the Republican candidate for the 26th District House seat in Olathe.

Details about the charges weren't immediately available, but Democrats have been arguing for months that Thomas doesn't live in the district he's trying to represent.

The State Objections Board was set to meet on Monday to discuss Thomas after a complaint was filed against him.
