A call for $15 minimum wage during lunchtime protest in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO - A few dozen people gathered outside a McDonalds restaurant at Troost and Cleaver II to demand a minimum wage of $15 an hour.

The group was led by Stand Up KC which used the 50th anniversary of the Memphis sanitation strike in 1968 to fuel their demonstration.

The protestors say they targeted McDonald's because as the biggest fast food chain, it should lead the way in paying higher wages.
