The Belton (Missouri) Police Department discovered the body of missing 26-year-old Jessica Parsons near East Walnut Street and Commercial Street in Belton.

Parsons was originally reported missing Sunday, and police released an endangered missing person report shortly after her disappearance.

Police said she left her home to go for a walk at Memorial Park in Belton. Authorities said Parsons sent a text message to a family member about 5:15 p.m. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Investigators released pictures of Parsons Wednesday when she stopped at Walmart and used an Uber to get to and from the store. Authorities said the black Ford 500 in the surveillance picture is the Uber vehicle.

Police said Parsons was picked up at her Belton home at 12:47 p.m. Sunday and driven to the Walmart store in Raymore, where she bought some items about 1:15 p.m.

Investigators said Parson was driven back to Belton, where she was dropped off near 314 Main St. at 1:27 p.m.
