Kansas City, MO - Artists more used to designing greeting cards have volunteered their talents to help spruce up some distressed houses in Kansas City.

Instead of plain plywood, five houses in KC's Land Bank now have painted panels covering doors and windows.

John Baccala with KCMO Neighborhoods and Housing Services says the idea is to provide some curb appeal for houses that are for sale through the Land Bank.

Baccala says they're already looking to expand the project.
