Max Deweese, 99, survives COVID-19

Kansas City, MO - We featured Max DeWeese a few years ago as a "Person of the Week". And now we're very fortunate, and quite happy, to feature him again.

Max is a 99-year-old WWII veteran, a US Marine who fought in the jungles of Guadalcanal in the Pacific.  

And now Max has fought off COVID-19.   
 


 

In April he went to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City with symptoms of the novel coronavirus.  Now, he's being released and heading home.

Max DeWeese is looking forward to getting back to his pre-quarantine life and routine - golfing, and volunteering with Meals on Wheels and Friends In Service Of Heroes.
